@frostshieldhvac: Customer complaint: poor airflow after a remodel. After investigating, I found a main electrical service wire had been run over the ductwork without proper support. The weight of the wire collapsed the duct and restricted airflow. While repairing it, I also share a few HVAC field tips: Cut half the bristles off a cheap paintbrush to make it stiffer for spreading mastic ("pookie") Keep foil tape on your waist with a zip tie so it's always within reach Run zip ties through your belt loops to keep a few handy instead of digging through your tool bag Sometimes the problem isn't the HVAC system at all.
