She was surrendered as a euthanasia request with her 8 puppies just three days ago and she arrived in this exact condition. Whoever had her before failed her badly but at least they surrendered her instead of abandoning her. Still, they should never own a dog again. She is terrified right now. She flinched when I touched her and wouldn't take any treats. Even with all that fear, she still let me gently handle her babies. Her puppies are doing well -just chunky, healthy little things who had just finished nursing and were curled up in their post milk naps. She's clearly been doing everything she can for them despite how scared she is. She deserves a safe, quiet place to raise her babies. BARC has already had to euthanize mamas and litters this past week, and I'm terrified this little family could be next. If you can foster this sweet mama, please reach out to any rescues you know or message me. I'm hoping someone can step up so they have a chance to be saved.
