These protests are not anti-Trump or anti-Israel. If the same land had been given to Arab sheikhs, Chinese corporations, or anyone else, the reaction would have been the same. The real issue is poverty, corruption, lack of transparency, and the feeling that Albanians are being excluded from decisions about their own country. This is a protest against bad governance, not against any nation or people.
