My husband and I both said that thank god we are a two physician house hold bc our son was on Similac Alimentum. I donated all my powder cans to a local pantry bc it’s so terribly expensive.

They should cover formula when they’re a demonstrated medical need, absolutely. And breast milk isn’t “quote great”. It’s incredibly evolved to meet nutritional and immunological support needs. Fed is best & breastmilk is amazing.

Yessss ESPECIALLY specialty formulas. I’ve had friends who are pretty well off but have barely been able to pay for allergy friendly formula.

insurance paid for my daughters specialty formula because it was $60 a can and there wasnt anything else for her to eat. now we had to literally fight for it but we got it
