@hygge.haven: prevention is ALWAYS better than reaction. As your tomatoes grow, I encourage you to do daily walks in the garden to see what your plant is looking like. Here's what I'm looking for on my daily tomato check-ins! the more you know, the better you grow! #homesteading #hornworms #preventinghornworms #gardencheck #preventgardenpests
Wait I thought neem oil was supposed to go on in the evening, so it can go so many hours without sun- is that bad if I do that? I should put it on first thing of a morning?

I found a hornworm for the first time this year I’ve been growing for a few years now. I also found five eggs that are black I believe they are going to hatch soon. I removed them before they did the damage. It helps to be consistent and look over your plants several times a day.

Wow! Thanks for letting us know what the eggs look for. Now I can look for it instead of waiting to spot the hornworm

My tomato plants are turning light green (mostly determinate romas). How do I get them dark and healthy looking again?

I’m wondering if the pests for plants are different depending on where you live. My parents have gardened for years and I never heard of the horn worm issue and now I’m worried haha
