Some teachers will say that everybody can float, but that's not true! Some people - although very, very rare - do actually sink, - even when holding a full breath. (It's called being negatively buoyant). I made this video to demonstrate, that even if that's the case, EVERYBODY can still learn to swim safely, and in a calm and relaxed way, - when you learn the RIGHT methods and skills. Learning Front crawl / freestyle in isolation (as is so common for adult beginners) actually will not help anyone to feel safe, comfortable or relaxed in deep water!! 🚨 DISCLAIMER: Do not replicate this, that would just be silly, and could be very dangerous. I'm only doing it to demonstrate an important swimming and water safety principle. In addition I'm a qualified AIDA4 freediver (trained in apnea/holding of the breath) and had a lifeguard supervising me 1:1 AT ALL TIMES :) I make it look much easier than it would be for most people! Only swim within your ability, and never swim alone! (Of course, the full video was taken in several different takes, - it wasn't all on one breath, - and I don't mean to pretend it was! :) #watersafety #learntoswim #comedy #adultswimming #swimming #
