I probably could’ve explained this better but the best use case for powertoys awake is when you want your download to continue but you don’t want your pc/laptop/handheld to stay on all night. You can use powertoys awake to keep the pc awake for x hours and then it’ll go to back to your normal sleep schedule after. So you don’t have to remember to switch back your power plan settings. And you can conserve energy by sticking with a conservative power plan and only keeping it awake when needed.
