Over the decades of its existence, the brand has gone through several generations of updates, but the largest round of popularity happened in 2010 with the release of the animated series "My Little Pony: Friendship is a Miracle". The action of this story unfolds in the magical country of Equestria, where earthly ponies, winged pegasus, magic-possing unicorns and alicorn rulers live. The main character, a diligent student Twilight Sparkle, together with the dragon Spike goes to the provincial town of Ponyville to find out what true friendship is. There she meets her faithful friends: the hardworking farmer Applejack, the sporty and cheeky Rainbow Dash, the modest animal lover Fluttershay, the glamorous fashionista Rarity and the incredibly cheerful party organiser Pinky Pai. Together, they personify the Elements of Harmony and protect their country from various threats, while solving everyday life problems. One of the main features of the franchise was the insignia, or beauty marks - special drawings on a pony croup, which appear in childhood and symbolise the unique talent or life vocation of the character. The animated series suddenly outgrew the scope of a purely children's show and turned into a global cultural phenomenon, giving rise to a huge international community of adult fans known as "armour". The project has been recognised for its high-quality humour, detailed universe, sincerity of plots and a strong message about the importance of mutual assistance, acceptance and kindness. The franchise continues to develop today, releasing new generations of toys, feature films, video games, comics and spin-offs.
