State Fair (manditory, for sure), Symphony on the Prairie (there's multiple concerts during the warm season--pick one that speaks to you!), Indians game (pick one with fireworks!), Zionsville Farmers market (they run every Saturday morning through November), Covered Bridge Festival in Parke County, Zionsville Fall Festival, Irvington Halloween Festival, Harvest Nights at Newfields, Indy 500 (not my cup of tea, personally, but you are required to go just once), catch a movie at Tibbs Drive In (open March-October) Carmel Christkindlmarkt, Winterlights at Newfields. There's more, of course, but these are my favorites.

Recommended Day Trip Towns: Madison, Bloomington, New Harmony, Newburgh, Franklin, Nashville (again). Southern Indiana is definitely the prettiest part of the state.

Absolutely the Indiana State Fair! And absolutely EARLY in the day on a Tuesday. They do $2 Tuesday and it's $2 to get in, and each food vendor has a $2 option. A great way to get lots of tastes for not a ton of money, and definitely less crowded early in the day when people are at work, and kids are still in school. Also absolutely the Covered Bridge Festival! Several towns of nothing but Outdoor Flea Market, meets Food Fest, meets Car Show, so much amazing stuff everywhere! And then definitely back to Nashville when the leaves change in the Fall time. It's the most beautiful scenic drive down. Park by Miller's Ice Cream to start off, all homemade Ice Cream and Waffle cones, the smell just stepping in says it all. Followed by a walk around the shops you didn't get to before, with a notable mention of one of my favorites Hippies & Cowboys. Can't wait to continue watching your guy's adventures. 🤗

Totally forgot concerts in the park! There is a whole symphony in the park series at Connor Prairie in Noblesville. Carmel has the largest Fourth of July festival and I’m sure it will be over the top this year.

Ok, I’m born and raised as southside indy woman. There is so much I love. Highly recommend the Talbott Street Art Fair. In the summer a quarter of the downtown circle is blocked off with games, seats, activities. It’s called Spark on the circle. We always hit that up on Wednesdays when there is also the original city farmer’s market. In August there is a Hummingbird festival at the Mary Gray Sanctuary in connersville which is adorable. Anderson Orchard in Mooresville is my favorite place to go apple picking in September. Love the Indianapolis Zoo at Christmas time. Have fun! Love your adventurous spirit!

Blueberry Festival in Plymouth. About two hours north of Indy. Indiana’s largest four-day festival held over Labor Day weekend. Sunday night always has an amazing firework show.
