So have you actually asked him to take up the carpet or you haven’t because you don’t want to bother him? Most of the time landlords appreciate knowing when things are messed up so they can get them fixed. It wouldn’t be crazy expensive to have some type of laminate flooring put down.

for only a 25 minute clean it definitely helped also landlords are only responsible to replace carpet if it is beat up from normal wear and tear not from stains from kids, pets or adults that is why I have a no shoes or food or drink on the carpet policy shoes come off at the door and food and drinks are only allowed in the kitchen or on the dinning room table

Mama you’re stepping right back on the wet parts that you literally just went over. Start from farthest part of the room and move backwards so you’re not stepping over the wet parts you just passed over especially with shoes! 🫶🏼

The padding is stained so the carpet will return to spotted stain look. As a landlord myself, I would appreciate my tenants to let me know. I would replace the flooring with vinyl flooring and have the tenants use area rugs.
