We got to witness the filming of an exterior scene starring Louisa Jacobson, who plays Marian Brook, in THE GILDED AGE on HBO. The scene was filmed on 1st Street in downtown Troy, NY, and every detail was accounted for: dirt roads, lots of props and set dressing, and period-accurate costumes. Jacobson’s character looked very serious, so this scene is likely to be highly dramatic when the episode finally airs. . That is so fun to see. We were in Savannah Georgia and they had put dirt in the streets and were filming a Disney movie. All the old carriages were parked around the circle.
