@drjoe_md: Dyshidrotic eczema can be frustrating because many people don't realize their everyday habits may be contributing to flare-ups. Common triggers include frequent hand washing, hand sanitizer use, sweating, stress, and repeated exposure to soaps, detergents, and cleaning products. Some people also notice flare-ups after contact with metals such as nickel. One of the most important parts of treatment is protecting the skin barrier. Thick ointments and creams are usually much more effective than thin lotions because they help lock moisture into the skin and reduce irritation. The good news is that while dyshidrotic eczema can be persistent, many people can significantly reduce flare-ups once they identify and avoid their personal triggers. Thank you! I have been wondering why those show up once in a while and haven’t been able to figure that out now I know what to look for and how to potentially avoid them from reoccurring

I use to get those a lot when I was a carer & thought it was a reaction to the latex gloves I was using at the time. I didn’t use treatment but I don’t have them anymore.
