My gran, 83 at the time, lives alone. A man broke into her home to rob her. She said that she looked at him and was unexpectedly feeling sorry for him. She stayed calm and told him that she's an old lady who doesn't have anything of real value for him, but she would be happy to feed him a meal and send him on his way with whatever food she had. The man broke down crying and thanked her for being kind and not thinking he was a bad person. They sat and ate together and he told her about how tough things were for him. He did not hurt her or take anything besides what she gave him. My superhero gran was scared, but somehow brave enough to be kind in a very scary situation 💜

I had a rideshare driver tell me because I am blind that if he lost his vision, he would want to be put down… Instead of saying something angry. I said I’m so sorry you feel that way. I am happy to be alive as a cancer survivor and live my life fully and I just live life differently as someone who is blind. I don’t stop living it… It was not difficult.

Was kind to the future ex husband of one of my besties and it felt great and it was easy….. although awkward at first it became easy 🥰 kindness for EVERYONE always

I'm a mother of 2 teenagers. It has become my personality to be kind to people I disagree with.. on a daily basis... several times a day 😂

Uhhhhhhh participating in your Kindness challenges? That’s probably most recent! I don’t always agree with each person you tag in terms of ideas/beliefs/lifestyles/etc, but damn, the world is hard enough and there’s a 50% chance our ideas are wrong anyway. It costs nothing to be kind. Literally. It shouldn’t be that hard unless we’re actually just full of 💩 about actually being kind in the first place.

It's not hard as long as you don't take it personal and the people you are with aren't personally attacking you. Agree to disagree is the easiest way to exist in my opinion.

thats a good question. I cant think of a specific example right now, but when people are very mad and angry because they've had a bad day or are going theough something, just showing them some kindness to make their day a little better.

TW: cancer talk This disagreement just happened tonight. Someone very important to me was adamant that putting off scheduling a doctor’s appointment for a postoperative body scan (after a melanoma diagnosis and malignant lesion and tissue removal) wasn’t a big deal and could wait. I disagreed. I felt like screaming, cursing, crying, but I didn’t. 😱🤬😭 I was kind but firm and insistent.🫶 It wasn’t easy.
