I knew you wouldn't like this book but I loved this series. It's kinda like ACOTAR where you have to get thru the first one and then the series takes off.

the first book is an origin story, the rest of the series is where the actual story is. I dont know how the second got people hooked in to read the next one without reviews all telling you it was a trust the process thing though.

I enjoyed the audiobook. The library has it so I will continue onto book 2. I haven’t seen the hype on here. It started slow for me but the last 25% had me like yeah, I would like to know what happens next. No guarantee on making it to book 3
