I cannot say this enough, everyone has different experiences and opinions!!! Some might say it’s draining others might say it’s inspiring. I’m convinced it’s all a mindset, if you go in thinking “this is gonna be the worst” or “I’m scared I’m not gonna enjoy it” will make you only see the negatives if you have a positive attitude it totally changes the way you act and see things!! You will never know until you try so don’t believe others experiences will be the same unless you’ve been through it.

I’m a new grad nurse of 9 months and I am so burnt out and I don’t like being a nurse anymore (adult med surg tele) This job has killed my compassion and heart for people. I just want to help people but for my own mental health it’s deteriorating rapidly.

Empathy burnout is crazy. I'm in Physical therapy in acute/subacute care and being treated like a machine. It's so so so tiring... I've been feeling like giving up and going back to school for awhile. I crave a soft healthcare job

Best thing you can do to not burn out is transfer to different specialties sometime just leaving and going to a new hospital but everyone eventually gets burned out

i love what i would do .. did MA for 2 years and will be going back .. never the work or patients who drained me .. i loved doing everything for them .. it was just the environment 🫠🫠🫠
