@ashleywhitfield44: I didn’t expect to be starting Pride grieving sapphic spaces but I know these dynamics are deeply layered. All I ask is that we not forget trans men in our advocacy and even in inclusion where possible. They need us too. #transmen #🏳️🌈 #🏳️⚧️
as a passing trans man, its hard to find that community. we are not accepted in a lot of queer spaces and no one wants to talk about it.

omg. I never thought of this. trans men who pass are essentially denied access to their queerness 😭 that's messed up

You are the first non-transmasc/male creator talking about this and it almost made me cry with the realisation that we are not talked about much with everything going on with trans spaces, thank you <3

As a black trans man , it's really hard finding community and a safe space esp within the queer community. It's like we get outcast a lot.

As soon as I transitioned I was invisible to the community and it really sucks

as a gay trans man thank you for talking about my straight, bisexual and sapphic brothers. it's so important to have these discussions because trans men and trans mascs have always had community and connection to lesbians and we deserve to be included and protected by the spaces we helped build as well

I’ve been out as a trans man since I was about 16. I never was in sapphic spaces but I’m scared to join LGBTQA+ events because it’s hard for me to feel safe and I don’t want to make others uncomfortable. It’s very lonely.

the trans men in my life are treated as such after thoughts. while yes I, as a trans femme, am at a higher risk to the public, that risk makes me more visible to people and it gives me a unique ability to vouch for and uplift my brothers. thank you for speaking on this

it literally sucks being a trans man (who i guess passes too well?) and not feeling included in my own communities. i was a lesbian at one point, whenever i hear about women-only events i try and ask if trans men like me are included and im scared they’ll say “no you’re a boy haha”. like, im a TRANS man, we have the same engineering, trans men deserve WAY more respect and inclusivity than cis men. trans men are NOT cis men

yeah, I hear way to much about trans women but why don't we look at the trans men. support our trans, regardless of binary or nonbinary, friends in the lgbtq+ world =^.^=

This makes me so sad :( in Vancouver in the 2000’s all spaces were just obviously gay and trans. Gay bars included all. Lesbian bars included all. Obviously if a group of men came in and no one knew who they were they would be pointed out and vetted (sometimes bad apples, sometimes trans guys from out of town etc) but it wasn’t anything to see trans men in lesbian events and I really hope that it’s exactly how it would stay. Our friends would go from lesbians to trans without issue of safe space

I'm a non-binary person that identifies as transmasc. I also identify as a lesbian. Because of how I want to transition and express my gender, it is a fear of mine that fellow sapphics will not take kindly to me or my presence. I anticipate a large part of my sapphic relationships and community will come from mspec women. Thank you for talking about this. As much as people are improving in areas of transness, we're often left behind or demonized in those same conversations. We just want to live

I was doing research on trans books for pride month. It was so much harder finding FTM rep as well as MTF. There’s not a lot that I can find

My partners and I are both trans men, we want to start a family but we can’t afford to hire a carrier and a donor so we had to pick which one of us would stop our T to carry. I am the one who is going to carry. I am terrified of being denied care while pregnant due to my identity.

I'm a trans man who will never be able to pass cuz I'll never be able to afford hormones or surgery, I'm also gay and asexual. I genuinely don't feel like I fit in the community. I went to my first pride event this past weekend and I just felt like I didn't belong 😕
