@gabriellarenees: YUCK. After I graduated high school and started going public about my relationship with God online and showing more of my true personality, I had multiple people reach out to me mentioning how they thought I was a mean, popular person b/c I was in the “popular crowd” (true shocker for me!) These were people that had classes with me or saw me walking in the halls, but never said a thing to me. I don’t ever remember my friend group claiming popularity or even thinking in that regard, but later.. God revealed to me what it was in the world of HS & how it affected my life. I went on to have these conversations with these people after graduating; genuinely curious about their views and perceptions and it just blew my mind! Sometimes we get stuck in crowds for the wrong reasons and sometimes we stay for the wrong reasons too. Don’t ever compromise your true character for the acceptance of others 🥲 #popularity #purposeoverpopularity #meangirls #christianlifestyle
