Oh girl lemme tell you. I once tried to be fancy and make roast potatoes in a pan…in an oven…and I used a pan with a metal handle. I put the oil in the pan, and put pan in the oven to get the oil hot. I took it out, put my potatoes in and let them cook. When it was time to flip them, I opened the oven and grab the handle with my bare hand. I ran to the skin and started running it under water. A couple minutes later I opened the oven again and grabbed it….with my bare hand. I ran back to the sink and repeated the process. EVENTUALLY I went back to get the pan out the oven, and ONCE MORE I grabbed it with my bare hand.

one time I made enchiladas and I was smart enough to put an oven mitt on to take the pan out of the oven... just to set it on the stove, take the oven mitt off, and then immediately grab the handle again to move it 😂
