instead of aging down April I wish they just created a new character to fill that role, or create a different adult to fill the og place. I do like the teen dynamic but I feel like without a human adult around they miss out on a lot of classic story lines. more women please

To be fair about the 90's April being an adult with teenagers, nothing about the 90's turtles gave off any kind of teenager vibes. If the word wasn't in the title, you'd never know. That's one thing I really liked about the 2012 series. It was the first one I could remember where the turtles were very much actually teens.

I will say that 2007 April and Casey seem more like besties that are roommates. Childhood friends that benefit from one another's respected jobs. I only ever remember that they're in a relationship when Casey calls her "babe". And I'm like...oh yeah they're a thing
