Union mall is a must to visit! And I love the gelato (on level 3 or 4), Dolce Gelatino, nice and reasonably priced, 2 scoops Thb39 for small cup, give a try when you are there. If you are craving for Japanese, Sushi Hiro (not Sushiro) on ground floor serves good sushi & sashimi.
