A compilation of some of my most viral service dog videos and public interactions from the last few years, all smooshed into one video! First is my most famous video, reminding everyone that Walmart is not pet friendly. That video has now reached well over 100 million people across all of my platforms. Next is a child running up behind us saying, “I’m going to pet that dog,” while trying to touch our service dogs. Thankfully, I noticed and stopped them. Parents are responsible for teaching their children not to run toward or touch unfamiliar dogs without permission, especially working service dogs. The third clip happened in Times Square when a man selling comedy tickets said he accepted service dog IDs. It was funny, but also a reminder that there is no official service dog ID in the United States. Next, a woman at the Penn Station elevator told us she was allergic to dogs, so we let her ride alone. Neither allergies nor service dogs automatically cancel out the other, but people can still be kind and accommodate one another when possible. At American Dream Mall, a child kept reaching toward my friend’s service dog while I was holding them, so I simply said no and the mother redirected her child. Then there is the Walmart cashier who asked Fidget’s name. I could tell she planned to call him repeatedly, so I gave her his fake name, Lassie. Sure enough, she immediately started saying “Lassie” over and over while he ignored her. The next clip is a sweet interaction at the Sussex County Fair where a woman stopped to ask about our dogs and their breeds. Finally, someone accidentally asked if Fidget was a “dog servant” instead of a service dog. It was clearly just one of those moments where you know the word but cannot find it, and it turned into such a funny and positive interaction. Educational, frustrating, sweet and hilarious moments from life with service dogs, all in one video! #servicedogs #viral #dogs #fyp #servicedogcommunity
