Yes. As a raver I feel like the different genres have different drugs that make you feel different. I also feel like humans having a preconceived bias towards certain music also plays into the effect because you’re already used to receiving dopamine from listening to the genre

I think one tricky thing about this study is that other studies have indicated most animals don’t hear music the same way we do. Curious about that combined with this.

my guess is that the music elevates levels of dopamine even more, and as body temp rises while moving, oxidative stress rises too
