@xoamandafrances: I do not believe in wasting money. The whole concept of *wasting* money gets us f*ed up in the head. Here is what I believe in instead: Using money in ways that feel good or do not feel good to me. Using it in ways that support me or do not support me. Using it on purpose. We can use it well. And we can not use it well. But the idea that we can *waste* it — that we can mess it up so badly it cannot be repaired — is a lie. When I am making financial decisions all day long, the only question I am asking is: Is it worth it to me? Is this a good use of my money based on my priorities, my values, my desires and goals? ^^ it’s incredibly important that you know what your financial priorities, desires, values and goals are, ps. Listen: There is a difference between *that wasn't the best choice for me* and *I definitely learned a lesson there* and *I wasted it.* One is information. The other is shame. And shame is not a place you can build overflow from. If you have spent your whole life being told you are bad with money — careless with it — wasteful with it — let me tell you what is actually true: You have been making the best choices you could with the standards and understanding you were living inside. Elevating those standards is incredibly important internal work. 🙌 #amandafrances #mindsetshift #moneymindset #financialempowerment
