@jackie.horse.sanc: I don’t know how to say this without breaking down 💔 She collapsed. We found her in the bush yesterday — old, dumped, wounds everywhere. We brought her to Gentle Spirits Horse Rescue thinking we could stabilize her here. Vet came. We cleaned. We treated. We prayed. But tonight she went down. Her body gave out. Severe wound at the hips, infection deep, fever burning. She’s seriously sick. Then she lifted her head. Looked at us. She’s still fighting. After everything humans did to her, she’s STILL fighting. The vet is here now at the sanctuary, doing everything he can. But he’s looking at us like... “she needs more.” She needs a veterinary hospital. X-rays, IV fluids, stronger antibiotics, 24hr care. Things we can’t do here. To carry her there = transport costs. Hospital stay = hundreds per day. Treatment = thousands. We don’t have it. We never have it. We just say yes and figure it out later because saying no means she dies. So I’m begging you.
