My OB professor showed us his video and our whole class was in tears. She told us she wanted us to be the best nurses we can be and to advocate and listen 😭 she was in tears just telling us about it. At the end of his video there was a clip of his wife talking about being a mom and I will carry it with me forever as a nurse

In situations like this where patients are ignored for hours upon hours, everyone involved needs to be held criminally liable. Because I don’t understand how that is not breaking the oath that you take when you become a healthcare professional.

My daughter is a 28 year old black woman. Her fiancé is a traditionally privileged white man. They are getting married in September and will be starting a family quickly after. I can’t wait to share this info with Colin. He has been on a crash course learning how unequal things still are. He will feel so empowered to have these tools to help him advocate for Maya. This is so important. I’m so sorry to hear Charles’ story. I thank him to taking this tragedy and doing something powerful with it. I’m following Charles in all the places.
