Albanian here. We’re not only protesting against the luxury resort being built in a protected area but we are also protesting against our government. These protests were censored by the media for days and there are a lot of problems with education,hospitals and many scandals where the government steals public funds ect.He keeps attacking publicly anyone that protests against him and saying that even if there are 500k protesters or more he will still do anything he wants. Albania has been living under his dictatorship for 12 years. Our protests mean so much more to us than just the Trumps.

As a Maldivian I agree with you on the resort thing. BUT the infrastructure mainly is private homes and building would require a whole section to be blocked off making it a huge hassle. We do not have steps from the side walks bc of how narrow the roads are. The crates are there to stop people from parking bc there isn’t space on an island.
