has anyone here never heard the phrase "steal like an artist"? theres no shame in taking inspiration from the work of other artists. the idea that we have to be entirely original is ruining the art community. as long as she's not copy pasting that pattern directly onto a design (which I suspect she won't since the stamp is a little blotchy) there is absolutely nothing wrong with taking inspiration for later.

I do this but with gravestone recipes. Go to a graveyard, find a headstone with a family recipe on it and either note it down, do this clay method, or do a frottage method.
