first of all he is wrong , but I understand what he meant by saying that . he is wrong because flash is significantly faster than superman thousands of times if their life's depended on it so whether he flies or not he would still loss . but he saying that because he thinks when fly u have free space unlike running where u would climb buildings ,mountains and dodge stuff

Grant gustin is just an Actor that played flash that doesn't mean because he said so it's a must that it'll happen, if u ask Ezra miller flash he might say whether Superman flies or not the flash wins so every body has their opinion doesn't mean they are actually right... the flash is the fastest man alive powdered by the speed force the source of his powers. And you're comparing him to someone that's powered by the sun!!! (No hate, I love Superman alot he's my second favorite superhero hero the flash is my first, & Superman is insanely fast not gonna lie) But the flash is on a completely different level when it comes to speed Barry Allen is speed himself.. go read the comic, or make research there's a particular comic I read when Barry was about to sacrifice himself to save everyone Superman chased him trying to stop him then he realized Barry has always been holding back allowing Superman to always win each time they raced, Superman had to go back and beg Billy batson (Shazam) to stop the flash he said Billy has the speed of a God that he knows he can catch flash Shazam flew as fast as he can and still couldn't catch the flash .... If I start to tell u how fast the flash is you'll be surprised fr!... Conclusion just because Grant gustin actually said it doesn't mean it's a fact you can even ask Henry cavil (the actor that played Superman man of steel) and other Superman actors or flash actors they might tell u fash wins whether Superman flies or not
