Staying late unpaid because ‘the patients need you’ 🙅♀️The guilt trips were real but so was my burnout. Biggest boundary I set was building an income outside the NHS so I was never fully trapped by it again 💙

Being expected to do online training at work when you’re running the ward at the same time instead of paying you for doing your training on days off but getting reimbursed for that time.

as a newly qualified midwife I was on my own and in charge of a 19 bed postnatal ward...with an HCA...I had to ring another ward to get my drugs checked.😳

I spent more shifts in charge than I did as a regular…. At band 5 pay…. Whilst the band 6s dictated the off duty and worked together on weekends
