there is a "good" ending imo the good ending is finally letting the flame rest and restoring the natural order one day the age of dark will also pass into another age of light so why stall that cycle if your turn will be again after thats like playing a boardgame and not wanting to pass your turn fearing that your turn wont come again but it will because those are the rules

good ending is to let darkness take over the world which will restore natural cycle or things and wont lead to dark souls 2-3. bad ending is to link the flame and disturb natural order of world, which leads to dark souls 2-3. yes, dark souls 3 is what would happen if the chosen one chooses the bad ending

There is no good ending: - Link the Fire: You sacrifice yourself to maintain a small elite in power and enslave humanity, however, the fire will fade again, eventually. - Do not link the fire: Humanity is still cursed by the gwyn and fire will appear again, making them brainless undead. Freedom of choice is an illusion. Only Dark Souls II showed us a way out.
