Love your videos! I hardly watch anyone nowadays cause it’s saturated with product reviews and arguing. Once you find your routine and base products you find the community is exhausting and just regurgitating the same information we’ve told the last 15 years. This year grease is good next year they are gonna be telling people to throw it out. 😕

OG natural content creators weren’t pushing products as heavily, it was more do what works best for you while trying xyz methods, some even refused to tell you the product(s) so you know everything doesn’t work for everyone

I started my journey in January and used TT to guide me, but I quickly realized that while this app has been tremendously helpful, so many creators with varied opinions, approaches, methods & recommendations was a recipe for confusion. Thankfully the lessons I had learned in maintaining healthy relaxed hair helped me in deciding what info to take vs what to ignore on this app.

Oh I’ve given up 😂 MY HAIR IS FOR ME!!! I love playing in my hair and sharing my process but I’m not gonna break my back so you can get to my level, I’ve already broken my back to get to where I am. We need to put in the work individually to enjoy our hair and be content with it

Exactly just do what works for you! Constantly switching up or trying to keep up with all these rules will eventually drain you. At the end of the day the most important thing for me is improving my hair health, experimenting, and having fun with my hair while being on this journey. I don’t want to be left with regret for being so serious with the journey and if I like it then that’s what matters!

Thanks for this video. I feel like creators need to emphasise that it is THEIR own routine and what works for THEM. What makes the ‘natural hair community’ toxic is that everyone is trying to impose their views on others and worst of all, trying to find fault in what others do. It’s draining and I’m so done 👍🏽. Let’s just do our hair as we please and keep it moving ❤️
