i think what God wants is for us to lay it at his feet. instead of pouring into this person who hurt you, worrying if they’re capable of change or if they will return, pour into yourself. that means living life for you. creating memories, meeting new people, and finding new opportunities. things that would’ve held you back had you been with someone who hurt you. maybe they will come back around a better person, but don’t sit there waiting for them. because we are still given free will. it is up to the person that hurt you to take accountability and grow up. but don’t ever let them hold you back from the promises God has for you.
