Our dude takes 2.5 hour naps at daycare. At home, 20 min then he simply must get up and make sure every toy he owns is on the floor

That’s how my son is. At daycare he helps clean and really polite. At home he’s throwing toys at his brother and eats 1 bite of his food and says he’s done cause he ate it.

Funny enough this actually happens a lot. Kids are sometimes very different people in daycare or school. The food thing is mostly about them seeing the other kids eat it too, so it becomes less of a problem. Most of the other stuff can be attributed to them feeling safe enough to show their emotional and stubborn side at home, while showing their polite and friendly side elsewhere, which they also often get from their parents because they mostly know very well which behaviour is the one expected from them. The other thing we often forget is, that parents get the tired version at the end of the day while daycare and schools get the happy and awake daytime version. Weekends are a bit different but suffer by being a break in their routine. When they get to middle or high school sadly this sometimes turns around and parents have a mostly quiet kid at home which is a menace at school.
