I remember they have chat logs and the audio of the tapes someone could use AI to remake the scene. I don't think releasing the tapes would do anything now. people have already been "inspired" alone by all that have released by those who have done these acts.

this shooting inspired many similar situations for years later. There is no good reason to release these tapes just to fulfill peoples need for morbid entertainment.

The Law Enforcement in Colorado are under no obligation to do so. It would be incredibly disrespectful and damaging to the families of the victims. There are LOTS of other examples of tapes being unreleaseable.

Any follow on, copy cat attacks have nothing to do with why the tapes aren’t released. The original judge ordered that they be sealed from public record
