My Corgi is deaf so he relies heavily on his sight. It is to a point if I move so much as move a finger he is on duty. If he is asleep I can move round freely. He has routines where he knows if I touch his left hip it's time to go. if I put on a harness it's walks or car ride. regular collar is potty/play in the yard. If I put on his scarf we are playing herding games. He knows sign language for some things too. We have just built signals and routines where he knows what is happening or is about to happen. He is still a little dictator. The cats are plotting behind his back and I'd put money on that.

My oldest corgi has curated a strict night time routine. He can hear the tv turn off and he instantly actives the routine. And now he’s taught our younger one to participate.

My girl demands a hug before eating. Fill her food bowl, she sits and waits until I put it down, and then she runs up to me and sits up for a hug. Only after the hug will she eat. Did not train jer to do this, she started the ritual as a puppy. 7 years later and we must continue...
