@hidprk: Kim Jong Un Holds Talks with Xi Jinping in Pyongyang On June 8, Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK and President of State Affairs of the DPRK, held talks with Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and President of the PRC, at the Kumsusan State Guesthouse in Pyongyang. Kim Jong Un warmly welcomed Xi Jinping on his return visit to Pyongyang after seven years, describing the visit as a significant demonstration of the importance China attaches to DPRK-China friendship and an important occasion for further strengthening bilateral relations. He reaffirmed the DPRK's commitment to continuously developing the traditional friendship and strategic cooperation between the two countries and expressed support for China's position on issues concerning its core interests, including the one-China principle. Xi Jinping praised the achievements made by the DPRK under Kim Jong Un's leadership and reaffirmed China's consistent policy of valuing China-DPRK friendship and supporting the DPRK's socialist cause. He expressed willingness to further deepen bilateral cooperation and advance relations in the new era. The two leaders exchanged views on party and state building, reviewed the development of bilateral relations, and discussed major international and regional issues.
