People saying “only worth it if you find the right one” I disagree. It’s worth it to the people willing to put in the work. There’s not one human being out there for you, it’s finding a friend that you’re willing to work really hard with to create the life you both want (they don’t necessarily have to be the exact same)

marriage is wonderful if you go into it knowing divorce isn't an option. (I'm not talking about abuse) know that you may lose the fuzzy "love" feelings. they may come and go. but real, actual love is a decision, not a feeling. you choose to love someone, even when you may not like them. it isn't for everyone. what did God say for your life?

Nope. Focusing on community is the only shot we’ve got. We put way too much emphasis on marriage and the nuclear family but when you have community the pressure gets taken off of 2 people and puts it back where it belongs, divided amongst the people.

Speaking from personal experience, we are met to have a partner. I lost my husband 15 years ago. i have been in a couple other relationships. They in no way came close to what I had w my husband. If you are in a good relationship, fight for it. Make it your first priority Because not having it is heartbreaking lonely. I was better when I had my husband.

Marriage may be worth it if you are both committed, have common goals in life, are true partners, lift each other up, and communicate. My ex husband was not interested in any of that.
