For most people who made dumb decisions in their early 20s that got them in debt, this could be the relief they need. I'm in my 30s and still paying off a lump of debt I created in a 2 year mental spiral in my late 20s. I want to get on with my life my I'm being dragged down by this.

People don’t realise how incredibly dangerous this is. unlocking hundreds of billions from state pension sounds great in principle, but what happens if the homeowner can’t afford the home any point int he future. Another recession would economically cripple an entire generation. Also house prices would soar again, it’s not demand that a lacking, it’s supply.
