The dvla is beyond ridiculous at this point. 6 months wait for tests. And now having to log on multiple times a day praying for a cancellation. Why can we not have an app that alerts us to cancellations. I think if you fail especially because of nerves and the pressure of another 6 month wait. Those pupils that have 5 minors or so she be retested in a month or so’

Too many band aids that theyre sticking on it. It needs proper funding from the government or the DVSA need to up prices to use it towards the backlog

I think the intention of dvsa is slow down given driving licence to people, the gd example is yr rear window view explain it all 😁

to reduce the back log they could allow driving instructors to issue driving licence to their learners. criteria should be they had multiple lessons most instructors could easily show dsa how many lessons someone had and the "test" session is recorded and dsa can request a copy of it.

Passed my test on Monday in Redditch. They have 2 examiners for a whole test centre 🤣

I didn't have a problem with the apps. Why don't the DVSA develop an app and increase the test price to include access to the app which would then in turn increase salaries for instructors.

Spot on Dave. They need to increase the pay and make the job more attractive. There’s nowhere near enough examiners. There’s Zero incentive for people to do the job. I certainly wouldn’t want to do it.

I passed on 31st of March 2nd attempt.It took me years to pass due to my anxiety...But i am loving driving by myself now !I ended up having to buy my car to be able to pass due to poor instructors and being too expensive to get hours booked in..Good luck to the learners !It takes time and patience to get this done!But the feeling of driving by yourself is the best !!

sounds so easy to pay driving examiners more money. unfortunately it's not that simple because of civil service grades and pay scales. you can't just give one group of civil servants a big pay rise as everyone else on the same grade will want the same

the dvsa told me my closest driving test centers are Boston, Louth and Grimsby. it's actually Lincoln 🙃 I'm currently booked in to Skegness but was looking for a date in Lincoln and I guess I can't now 🤷🏼♀️

I saw somewhere on TikTok saying it has good availabilities on thu 11.30-12.00. And it works for me and found a slot to change for an earlier date and preferred center

Today email - test Thursday cancelled as “no examiner “ cannot do re date as holidays so now it’s October … how is this better in anyway .. cannot use Obs to search for earlier Testi is banned cannot even use it to just search and keep a track in tests
