To detect a particle, we must physically interact with it, whether by bouncing photons off it or using another measurement apparatus. That physical interaction itself changes the particle's state and causes decoherence. It's the interference, not the act of looking, that collapses the quantum superposition.

I think it’s hysterical when scientists discuss this like it’s a new idea. There’s no one remember when they were a small child and their father mother aunt or uncle said to them if a tree falls in the woods and there’s no one there to hear it doesn’t make a sound. That’s just this theory broken down to simple components.

Wrong. The term "Observation" is a sloppy term used to describe the Double Slit experiment. It's not "Observation" like, to look at, or to film, it is caused by physical interaction.

Technically according to the findings show that an observer in the future changes the past. So the big bag didn't need a witness it just needed an observation at some point in its history.
