1 summer a mom showed up @ my door with bags of groceries because she'd realized that her grocery bill was ¼ of normal for the 2nd time in a row. "I realized I wasn't feeding them, you are."

Take every second of this in! I miss all my boys! This is the crew. They’ve all graduated now and started having babies they’ve got man jobs working on the road and I swear the other day I was so emotional about it. I genuinely miss the chaos at my house.

We were that house!!! Every kid in town knew our code to get in and knew they were welcome whether we were there or not! Cannot count the times I would wake up in the middle of the night and see an extra couple kids getting a late night snack and when the kids graduated, it was so sad! Now they randomly drop in w/their own babies to say hi and I’ve got a new generation of random kids to love!

Our house was always that house. You knew who and how many were there based off the shoes neatly stacked. Every kid knew to take their shoes off when they came in our house. Kids are now 24 & 27 and those friends still give one knock and walk right in to this day!
