@offenceregister: NAVEED ISHAQ BOLTON CHILD ABUSE MANUAL AND 388,000 IMAGES CACHE In 2021, the Offender Database UK recorded the conviction of Naveed Ishaq, a 48-year-old resident of Langthorne Walk, Deane, Bolton, at Bolton Crown Court. Naveed Ishaq was jailed for two years after carrying out a predatory campaign of amassing hundreds of thousands of child abuse files and multiple copies of an instruction manual explicitly designed to coach paedophiles on grooming and abuse techniques. THE NCA INVESTIGATION AND GROTESQUE DIGITAL LIBRARY An investigation established that Naveed Ishaq’s activities were uncovered by the National Crime Agency (NCA) after he utilized personal email addresses to register with an exploitation website based in New Zealand. Following this intelligence, Greater Manchester Police executed a raid on his home in August 2020. During the search, officers discovered electronic devices intentionally hidden beneath a sofa bed. A forensic sweep of the hardware exposed an industrialized digital library containing over 388,000 prohibited files collected between May 2017 and August 2020. The prosecution revealed the immense scale of the cache, which included images of toddlers as young as two years old depicted in severe pain and distress: Category A: 31,307 files (the highest severity level, capturing extreme child abuse). Category B: 29,256 files. Category C: 327,531 files. Extreme Pornography: 47 images depicting sexual intercourse between humans and animals. Grooming Manuals: Seven identical digital copies of a highly illicit 170-page instruction manual engineered to teach predators how to groom, manipulate, and physically abuse children. When cornered by detectives during his police interview, Naveed Ishaq attempted to excuse his massive collection by floating a fraudulent cover story. Naveed Ishaq claimed he was acting as a concerned citizen who only gathered the files to prove to the police how "easy" it was to access child abuse online—an excuse the court dismissed as a total abandonment of human decency. CUSTODIAL SENTENCE AND SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER Naveed Ishaq pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children and possession of a document containing information useful for child abuse. Sentencing him at Bolton Crown Court, the Honorary Recorder of Bolton, Judge Martin Walsh, condemned the "grotesque and persistent" nature of the library and the extended multi-year timeframe over which the material was gathered. Judge Walsh removed Naveed Ishaq from the community with an immediate two-year prison sentence. STATUS AND CASE DETAILS (2021) Legal Status: CONVICTED (Making indecent images of children x3; Possession of a document useful for child abuse; Possession of extreme pornography). Custodial Status: JAILED (Sentenced in 2021 to 2 years in immediate custody). Sex Offenders Register: Mandated to sign the register for 10 years. Judicial Oversight: Presided over by Judge Martin Walsh at Bolton Crown Court. Origin: Langthorne Walk, Deane, Bolton, Greater Manchester. 💬 WHAT DO YOU THINK? Given that this offender downloaded a 170-page paedophile grooming guide seven times alongside nearly 400,000 abuse images, do you believe a two-year sentence provides a sufficient deterrent, or should possessing explicit handbooks on how to abuse children carry a mandatory life-term?
