Do not go see this movie and waste your hard earned money. This is an embarrassment by Steven Spielberg. I love ET, but this movie had a bunch of plots. Spoilers head. That one thing he had that can literally do whatever he wants is stupid. It’s literally just a plot tool that allows them to get out of every sticky situation they have. And why did they advertise it like a sci-fi but the entire time was one big car chase it was poorly advertised. It was a bad movie and the only good actor in this movie was Emily Blunt. And the people that liked this movie are saying if you don’t like this movie you’re just stupid and that is actually one of the biggest excuses I’ve ever heard. We have a different opinion so we’re all stupid? And also the bad guys in the movie was literally the dumbest people in the world the protagonist could be right in front of them and they would close their eyes and not see them. They are blind, and it is annoying to watch. The only good parts is first 30 mins and last 30 mins. And also, why couldn’t they just post the alien stuff on social media it would go a lot more viral and I feel like it’s unrealistic that everybody would be watching the news because they got sent a link or it’s viral right now and also nobody listens to the mainstream media that much anymore because of the lying that they have been doing I think Steven Spielberg is too old now and this movie was kind of unoriginal has Stephen not made already six alien movies I think it’s time to move on Steven. He has done some amazing work, but this was not one of his pieces of art. And also Emily blunt should win an Oscar for her performance. And why did the aliens 👽 literally look like the alien emoji kind of unoriginal and not very creative. And why did the bad guys give up at the end? They just sat there they could’ve stopped it right then and there, but they didn’t for no reason. To sum it all up this movie was a cool idea but executed poorly and was a Mess!

I avoided the build up BS and went in with an open mind. If you don't understand the underlying theme, you are unlikely to enjoy it. An unexpected hit for me.

The movie was a message of how humans take information and religion. And the alien saying listen was them telling people to listen to each other rather then fight and stay in separate groups, as the aliens main reason for being so advanced was their empathy
