My personal Theory is, Aizen hated him because as a prodigy himself he felt Toshiro was a let down. Something akin to him thinking how dare you be considered to be in the same class as me (class being considered a prodigy)

my headcanon is either. he hated how Toshiro was acknowledged as a child prodigy, or he was in a weird way mentoring him acknowledging his potential. I don't have any real evidence for these just that's what the behavior says to me.

I saw an analysis on this once but it’s said that he hated Toshiro bc he’s not only a child prodigy like himself, but someone who was able to make meaningful connections with other people (unlike himself). It’s no real secret that part of Aizen’s dilemma was what he was inherently lonely and had no one he could actually relate to, so seeing someone like him in strength, but unlike him in his ability to connect with others made him jealous and act overly petty towards Toshiro.

I think Aizen hates Toshiro because he lowkey proves that Aizen chose to be isolated cause deep down Aizen knows his isolation isn't because of his strength but because he is afraid to connect to people

Here's my theory/headcannon: Toshiro, just like Aizen, is a prodigy with incredible power. However, in Aizen's eyes, Hitsugaya used none of that power to do something meaningful and work to change the soul society. I also believe there l is also a more petty reason for that which is that Aizen was also envious of Toshiro. As a prodigy Aizen felt alone growing up, due to no one actually relating to him in terms of strength, which contrasts Toshiro's life, who, despite being drastically above his peers, has actual bonds and friendships.
