@nabeelahshaikh: A major City Power crackdown in Kya Sands has uncovered what officials describe as a sophisticated illegal electricity network. Authorities allege stolen transformers, mini-substations and cables were being used to supply power to residents in the Msawawa informal settlement. Community members said they pay around R400 a month for the electricity, directly to the syndicate.
