@roups_boatlife: Is it cheaper to live on a boat or a house. To sum up my opinion…. Owning a boat is expensive but I justify it by living onboard. There is always something to pay out for and ultimately mooring is like paying rent, you never see it again. Boats depreciate in value too, a house historically increases. The space is smaller but it meant decluttering from ‘stuff’. I prefer the simplicity of it. #liveaboard #boatlife #canalboat #boat #Lifestyle

Been living on my boat for 2 years now, my monthly costs are £805 for mooring, £79 insurance, electric £50-£80 depending on season, diesel heating system £125 during winter months. Lift every 2 years, factor in £3K over 2 years for service and repairs.
