@rowancheung: A couple weeks ago, Hyundai and Boston Dynamics released "School of Football," a five-part campaign starring the electric Atlas robot ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The films follow Atlas learning soccer, culminating in the "Rabona," a difficult cross-legged trick shot. Boston Dynamics' engineers captured professional players' motion, retargeted it to Atlas, then trained the robot through reinforcement learning across thousands of cloud GPUs, compressing about a year of practice into a day. Hyundai plans to train Atlas at its Georgia plant, aiming to deploy humanoids in factory work.
