I’m 18, and since I was little I’ve always wanted a family and kids, when I learned about birth control and other contraceptives and that they can cause infertility and other complications with the body I decided I would never take them. Only condoms (sometimes) sooo, no sex unless I’m willing to take up my consequences😅. I feel bad for these lady’s. I hope they are all doing great and have lovely kids.

I was told birth control would help regulate my periods so I took it all throughout high school...off and on. sometimes it works. other times it doesn't feel like it did anything. as I grew into adulthood, I stopped taking them completely...but now I got issues with my uterus and I'm not sure if I can even have kids but we will see.

Mine, I had extreme periods (my mom didn’t understand) until I was 18 I had a cyst that ruptured. At that point I got on depo. I’m now 28. I don’t know if they know about all other diagnosis when I was 18. With knowing about many people who went through what I went through through periods I think I could have what they have. But was put on depo so I couldn’t ovulate which would stop the ovulation cysts. I’ve been on it for 10+ years.. saw my primary care, which is also a OBGYN

I was told at 13 that I might never have kids…I was put on BC pills and still skipped periods. I am now 48 and I had to go through fertility (IVF) treatments to have my 2 kids who are now 15 and 17!

I know PCOS diagnosed women who were on the pill for a bit when they were younger as treatment and still went on to have children. There is so much misinformation

I was offered bc at 12 to help with cystic acne at the time. Thankfully my mom was smart and denied it for me. A quick allergy test would have showed them that I was allergic to the chlorine. (I was a competitive swimmer at the time and was in the pool year round). Now I just wash with swimmers soap after being in the pool and have no acne

I was on depo every time I had a boyfriend my mom always said “you need to be on birth control” I stopped getting it because of depression yea I did get pregnant but I love being a mom but I’m never getting back on birth control that messes with hormones and mental health im currently pregnant again but I’m planning to get the copper IUD as a healthier birth control

I got in it right after turning 13. Was on the iud at 15. For my period but after a year and a half of my iud it came back and has been for a year

I was the same age, 14. I took continuous birth control. I stopped taking it in my early 20's cuz it just felt so unnatural to me to not have a period.

I was 18 when my mom made me go on the pill not for my periods but to make sure I didn’t get pregnant. I’ve always had a regular period. But last year I decided to go on the depo shot which has made me gain weight and I sometimes have a headache. I am about to switch back to the pill until I feel I’m ready to have a child. But I feel like I should give my body a break from bc. Mind you I wasn’t taking the the pill for a month or two when I decided to go on the shot. I regret going on the shot

put on it right before I turned 15 or right after for awful periods and irregularities. was on it for nearly 10 years and then struggled to get pregnant without help

Developed a pituitary prolactinoma one year after starting bc. They said there’s NO WAY that it would ever cause it, buttttt im suspicious

Yesssss I am 28 and have PCOS I always said I wouldn’t go back on BC but they offered that or metformin and I’m getting married in November so I went with BC and metformin after the wedding but I hate being on BC!!!

Was diagnosed with PCOS and they are so fast to prescribe BC and it drives me crazy. I feel like they push it more to my generation
