I've been to churches that had tongues and interpretation. I've also been to a service where someone was called out for interruption of a service to speak in tongues. I go to a pentecostal church now who believe in the gift of tongues, however I believe their beliefs in it aren't 100% correct. Unfortunately though, no churches in my area believe 100% the way I do. So I go to church for fellowship with believers. My praise and worship, my teachings, my real in depth studies are done at home in the word. I don't cause division even if I truly don't agree with the teaching. But I don't have an issue calling my preacher out for things I can 100% prove scripturally and he actually listens to me and studies what I've said, but I do that over the phone, not during service.

Right. Just to be clear for anyone confused… speaking in tongues is a gift of Holy Spirit. It is for in public and an interpreter is required. (Which is also a gift from Holy Spirit). Praying in tongues is different. Every follower of Christ who’s filled with Holy Ghost has the ability to pray in tongues. You don’t need an interpreter. It is a private (and very beautiful) prayer language between you and the Father. Who knows you better than even you do??? Your Creater! His Holy Spirit intercedes in prayer and will pray for you and this is praying in tongues. Even the enemy cannot interpret what is being said. It’s an unknown prayer language. It’s so beautiful!!

I grew up in a pentecostal church. I have heard messages being delivered in tongues and there would always be an interpreter. I have also heard a person speaking in tongues which was not a message for the church but happened during prayer.
