Perfect solution! I fully relate, previous owner ruined the cabinets with the HEINOUS placement of pulls on all doors, bathrooms and kitchen. We’re just replacing all cabinets since ours are so strange.

Love the rectangle hardware! One suggestion… have you looked at Retique wood paint? They have different finishes and I believe there is a pickled oak. Might be with a shot?

I’m usually a huge advocate for wood, but it seems like the best thing to do here is paint! Then you’d have the option to drill new holes and cover the water damage.

With the upper cabinets you could also drill a second hole and switch those to pulls instead of knobs but love your ideas!

they make handles with back plates that may cover the weird nob placement marks on your cabinets while also fixing the look of the placement of your holes
